It's kinda hard headshotting things unless it's the FIRST shot, before they see me. Otherwise, y'know, they're running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Very hard lining a good shot up when your target's ducking behind cover, firing at you (and CHEWING through your shields!) and they're coming in waves of 6+.
If I'm not being just COMPLETELY swarmed, I'll hold the left trigger with my shotgun to get a good zoom, otherwise it's pray and spray. Got a couple 'explosive' weapons earlier - one SMG and one sniper rifle (which I was kinda happy about...) and those are fun when they proc. Headshot + explosion = pretty damn good.
And also, headshots mean precisely squat against the 'tough' enemies, it seems. Like the two level 18 psychos. For one thing, hitting them in the head with anything is near impossible for a FEW reasons. One, I'm trying not to back up into anything. Very difficult given the 'safe' zone at the start of the mine is god damn TINY. Two, they're charging my ass and just un-fucking-loading on me with melee weapons. And three, a fuckton of other guys are shooting my ass from the sidelines.
To say nothing of the fact that a headshot on one of those guys does next to no damage, same as if you hit them ANYWHERE. That's my real 'big' problem with this game. I'm fine with a guy taking a few seconds to kill.
When it takes my ENTIRE SMG ammo supply, that is some BULLSHIT. And I'm not just aiming in the general direction, closing my eyes, and squeezing the trigger. I'm keeping it as close on center mass (with SMGs and the like) as recoil will allow.
Rockets are next to useless, as I said. Because even on the off chance you can actually hit what you're aiming for, it'll just take the same pitiful blip of health that other weapons do. Really, if you've got a pair of big motherfuckers charging you that can four-hit kill you (and this is including the swings to nuke shields) and about a half dozen other goobers in the back taking potshots, you really don't want to be flinging explosives around anyway.
It's just really, REALLY frustrating me. Which is also irritating me because I do not want to BE frustrated at this game. I really am generally enjoying the game. The stupid amount of ammo things take to kill aside, the main complaint(s) I have is shit respawns too quickly and there's no fast way to leave an area. Went into that one cave with the... oh, those purple worm things that spit goop at you. I went deep in because I needed 50 damn crystals and I hadta repair the robot. And by the time I wanted to head out, one of the bandit camps had fully respawned. And one cocksucker... I dunno WHAT he had on him, because it didn't drop. But he was slinging GIGANTIC fireballs at me. I dunno if he had some kind of multi-rocket launcher that also had elemental damage on it or what. It was a Bruiser, too, which made it worse.
One thing you can rarely say about this game, for sure - you will always have SOME weird or interesting story or moment to relate to others playing it.
I'll keep plugging away. But man, I'm not looking forward to going back to either Arid Hills or the Mines. Gonna try getting to 20 and search around for better weapons and check to make sure I didn't miss any quests. Finally got some more backpack space, so I'm hoping I can find a few more guns that'll help me with situational problems.  |

yeah i havent been on the forums for 2 days cuz ive been playing this game. its sex. I didnt think 4 player co op was all that hard however and i was 4 levels under everyone else when i played so idk. Tho we did have two soldiers with medic skills so that was probably why
